Barking Dogs

Well, I had a great holiday weekend. I did a lot of barking. The neighbors were out cutting the grass and having parties, opening their swimming pools. I never had so much fun. I just don't like those lawn mowers and mom says I just go nuts when I hear somebody cutting grass.

Mom says I bark too much. but isnt that what dogs do? It's my way of speaking. One of the neighbors is a real pain about my barking. They started complaining to mom. Geez, I am outside for just 5 minutes and they are standing on their balcony screaming like a banshi for me to shut up. This only makes me bark more, but they are too stupid to realize that. They continue to tell me to shut up.

I wouldn't have to bark like this if those neighbor kids would stay away from my fence and stop trying to aggrevate me. they are always running up and down the little alleyway that runs in back of our fence between the houses. One time they threw one of their toys into my yard and dared each other to jump the fence and retrieve the toy. They get really scared because I jump and the fence and bark like a crazy dog.

Have a great day all you fellow dogs, and don't let them tell you to stop barking.

Talking Duck Toy

A package arrived the other day and when mom opened it she showed me some of the new dog toys. This one sounds just like a duck when you squeeze it.

I wanted to have this so bad, because my duck doesn't quack anymore. But she was just teasing me. There was also a toy that barked. This really drives me crazy. It sounds so real. I wanted one of these, since I don't have one yet. So far, mom hasn't caved in yet. She wants to let her customers get the first chance to order these for their lucky dogs.

I just had my birthday and got a really cool squeaky toy. I do have lots of fun with it, but I would really love to have that barking one. Mom says I have too many toys already. So today I decided to eat my carrot toy. This way I would have one less toy and then mom could replace it for me. But that didn't work. Too bad.

Maybe there are some lucky dogs out there that will receive one of these quacking duck toys or another of the fun toys at www.pampereddoggifts.com

Tacos Favorite Things

Hi again, Taco here.
I had a good weekend. Well, I didn't get to go to the dog park this weekend. It rained and mom and dad said gas costs too much, so we went for a walk instead. I love going for walks though. I bark at the neighborhood kids and other dogs.

Mom and dad can't figure out why I just bark at some kids and not others. I don't know why either. Some kids just rub me the wrong way. They dart by on their scooters or skateboards. They try to irritate me, so I irritate them back. Both me and my partner in crime Mighty Joe get really excited when we see other dogs. The more he barks, the more I bark, and that makes him bark more and it is just a vicious cycle

Mom and dad are busy now watching 24. I had mom help me with this during the commercials. I don't know why they are so interested in watching that noise box when they could be playing with me.

Pampered Dogs

Today has been boring for this pampered dog. Mom normally works from home, so she is home with me all day, but today she had to go into the office. I spent the entire day home alone. ( I know Mighty Joe was here with me, but it's not the same) I hate when she has to go to the office.

I slept most of the day. This evening I was all wound up (thats what my mom calls it anyway). I was just fully rested and ready to play. I love to play fetch but it is annoying when mom and dad throw the toy into the kitchen where there is slippery floors. I can't get a good grip like I can on the carpet. Mom and dad laugh at me as I go sliding past my toy.

The weekend is finally here though, and tomorrow I get to go to the park. Yippee!!

By for now, catch ya all later.

Taco the Pomeranian

Hi everyone! My mom helped me set up my own blog! My name is Taco, and I live in New Jersey. I heard mom and dad talking about moving to Texas in the fall though. Sounds like a great place to move to, I hear tacos are popular there.

I am a pomeranian mix and am about 2 years old. My mom and dad adopted me from the Humane Society in Pennsylvania just over a year ago. Since we don't know my exact birthdate I have been given May 5 as my birthday. Kind of neat that Taco is born on Cinco de Mayo eh.

Anyway, I have an older brother named Mighty Joe. He is a 4 year old yorkshire terrier and he was rescued from United Yorkie Rescue about 3 years ago. He is big for a yorkie, about 18 pounds. (he could stand to lose about 4 lbs though). When I first arrived at my new home I didn't play with any toys and mom and dad couldn't understand why I wasn't interested. Finally they gave me a ball, and I "had a ball" with it. For a while thats all I wanted to play with.

Now after a year I want all the toys. I have plush toys, squeaky toys, talking toys and more. My favorite are the squeaky toys. I love to make it squeak, squeak, squeak all day. I just got a new squeaky toy for my birthday and this one has a really different squeak. It is not a plush toy like many of my other, it is vinyl and it sounds really cool.

Well thats all for today, I gotta start squeaking that toy.
